National Certification for

Spanish Teachers

Becoming a Command Spanish® Certified Instructor (CSCI)

To become a CSCI, an individual must be 21 years old and demonstrate proficiency in both English and Spanish that is sufficient to support the instruction of Command Spanish® materials and programs. A person need not be a professional language teacher, nor does he/she need to possess a degree.

An individual becomes nationally certified by completing the "Teaching Occupational Spanish" (TOS) certification program -- either by attending a national certification seminar or by completing the independent study program.
